412's Semko came onto the scene like a gunshot, rapidly ascending from opener DJ to headline support seemingly overnight. A force of nature on 4 decks, his skills evolved at a blistering pace, leaving many of his peers in his wake and catapulting him to the front lines of the Steel City drum and bass scene, garnering him respect from even touring DJs. Some people may have chosen to been content at this point - but not Jake. Instead he set to work on production, once again progressing his skills at almost superhuman speed, racking up a series of commercial releases and label affiliations that would make some seasoned producers envious. Through constant bookings, radio slots, and promotion his hard work made his name synonymous with local drum and bass. And then, ever the enigma, he seemed to all but disappear, leaving a void on stage that still stands. It begs the question - what could draw in a mind like Semko's? What could be the next challenge? The simple answer - raising a family, which he does with the same inexhaustible dedication he shows behind the decks.
