In this, the bicentennial year of the city’s incorporation, we are continuing our celebration of Pittsburgh with a salute to Sebak. This mini, two-week series will feature back-to-back showings of some of Rick Sebak’s favorite documentaries, with accompanying trivia, food, music, and appearances by Sebak himself.

Thursday, June 23rd features “A History of Pittsburgh in 17 Objects” followed by “A Few Good Pie Places.” You can test your Pittsburgh knowledge with some trivia, and sample various types of pies. Plus, music by members of The Beagle Brothers and James Hart of the Harlan Twins.

The Thursday, June 30th lineup kicks off the holiday weekend with “A Hot Dog Program” and “Kennywood Memories.” We will fire up the grills and cook the dogs, you can top ‘em how you like ‘em at our toppings bar, which will feature the standard ketchup, mustard, relish, plus some more adventurous options like guacamole and grilled corn salsa.

We know you’ve probably seen these movies before, most likely more than once, but never like this. Enjoy some Sebak under the stars at Bayardstown Social Club. Sit around the fire and celebrate our city.

Doors at 6 pm. Movies at dusk.
