Dev79 aka Dev7Nine aka Philadelphia badman OG. A producer/DJ who has been banging it out on the bass music underground for 10+ years. He effortlessly weaves elements of grime, juke and rap among a plethora of other styles, into a tapestry of urban club music that he (along with lablemate Starkey) have dubbed “Street Bass.”
With his original productions and remixes, Dev7Nine takes you on a daring ride of emotions and flavors, that will urge you to let your body take control. In recent years his music has been featured on releases by Main Course, Saturate, Top Billin, Gold Whistle, B.Yrslf Division, Made In Glitch, Songster app, Crossfader app and more. He's collab'd with artists such as Subp Yao, Kush Jones, Mel G, MC Dread and more.

His ruckus inspiring DJ sets have kept dance floors sweaty across North America with deep selections of bass heavy urban music. He hgas shared stages alongside acts such as Deltron 3030, Kastle, Brillz, Mayhem, AC Slater, Jackmaster, Jokers of the Scene, Girl Talk, Drop the Lime, Plastician and Willy Joy.

Starkey and Dev79 are the masterminds behind the Seclusiasis and Slit Jockey Records labels. These acclaimed and groundbreaking imprints have released artists such as Aquadrop, Conrank, Distal, Mr. Mitch, Doshy, Trim, Todd Edwards, Stagga, Rustie and Knight Riderz.

Dev79 and Sideswipe also run the monthly '160' party in Philly, focusing on the 160 bpm sounds of footwork, juke, future jungle, ghettotech and more at acclaimed venue Kung Fu Necktie.
